A.N. (Author's Note) n1

Yes, I know I’m inactive. Please don’t get mad. 😞😟😴😩 The stress is getting to me a bit. Anyways, story updates. The Mental Link Don’t expect much of an update or a P.4. It’s coming, just not soon. Interrogation See above. The First Trio The story is 80% done. I’ll publish soon... I hope... it’s already split into parts, I’m just too lazy to copy/paste. The Lady in the Mirror I know I shouldn’t be writing stories about characters who have spent all their screen time thus far being tortured by Luke. But Jackie is a Deadpool-style author, and she’s begging for attention. And the story is already thought out. I’ll be exploring two characters in a heartwarming tale. I cried when I thought of this story, actually. It’s a sweet show of innocence, love in all its forms, and human kindness. I can’t wait to finish publishing it. SNEAK PEEK- Stories coming out soon? The Guild Series Think Divergent-style but more modern high school. It’s already on draft. Inter-Dimensional...

The Lady in the Mirror - Chapter 1

Chapter 1 My hands graze the railing on the stairs leading down to the basement. It’s my turn to clean this month, and I am not looking forward to it. I sigh and summon a vacuum. Green, as always. My eyes glow as I work the vacuum cleaner, cleaning the carpet. I zap the mold with my powers, smiling. Mom always disliked magic for cleaning uses- mainly because the maids back at her father’s castle did it that way, even though they were all magical demons ( great choice, Gramps .). But she isn’t here today. It takes me two hours with my magic- which is bad enough. I notice a door I hadn’t seen before. Something glows beyond it. I shrug. I’d already encountered a lot of cool glowing things. Something good always came from it, it seems. I open the door just a crack, sticking my head in. I look left- nothing but a desk, papers strewn across it. Typical Dad Base, Mom and I call things like that. I look right. It’s just a full-body mirror. It’s one of those things you’d look over and no...

The Mental Link- Part 3

Jakoeb slammed his finger on the mouse. The power went up. "Jake, stop!" Yppah tackled him to the ground, his hands pinning Jakeob’s throat. Lightning flashed in his eyes. "You are insane, aren’t you?" "Too..." Jakeob struggled to breathe. "...late." Kia went silent. Yppah raised his head, turning towards his cousin. "Kia?" "I’m free." She whispered. An explosion of purple light sends Yppah to the ground. He pulled out his sword, charging it with his lighting. He jumped up towards a shadow in the smoke, grabbed its neck, and positioned his sword... "Yppah! What are you doing, it’s me!" The shadow cleared. Kia pulled the sword from his hand and put him in an arm lock. "Yppah, I’m fine." She dropped his sword and pulled him up. She looked into his eyes. "Don’t think with your sword like that." Jakeob stood up and ran over to Kia. "Ki, are you ok?" "I just said I’m fine....

The First Trio- How Marrena joined the Mythicals (Part 1)

"Woah... the wildlife here is amazing, Saryn!" Zinah picked a flower off the mountain. "These plants had to adapt to the cold in order to get the rich nutrients under the snow. Amazing!" Saryn smiled. "Yes, it is. Now, remember, we’re exploring, yes, but keep an eye out for distress. It can be anywhere." "Okidoki!" Zinah picked up a little ferret. "But isn’t this cute?" "I guess." Saryn hiked up the cliff. Noticing a shadow in the distance, she focused on it with binoculars. A red flag. "Zinah!" Saryn yelled over her shoulder. "A red flag! Distress signal! Come on!" Zinah shot up. "Got it!" She air-bent herself while Saryn flew her bird-like mount to the flag. Once they landed, they both let out a gasp. "My gods..." Saryn covered her mouth. Crumpled on the ground were hundreds of hunters. Blood stained the snow a dark red. One man was leaning against the flag, blood dr...

The Mental Link- Part 2

Silver light blasted through the tube. It flashed, then intensified. Kia screamed. "Is this normal?" Yppah asked nervously as her screams of pain continued. "Umm.... no." Jakeob stared at his computer. "I think..." Yppah blocked his ears. "You think what?" "This isn’t in my calculations." Jakeob traced the computer screen. "Luke fortified the link so she couldn’t lose it this way." Yppah stared at the shadow of his cousin grabbing her skull in pain. "Can you stop it?" "There’s only one way to make it stop." Jakeob looked at him with a glint in his eye. "I have to make it stronger." " WHAT ?" Yppah grabbed Jakeob by the shoulders. "Dude, are you insane ? You’re going to make it more powerful, and so  more painful? And that’s supposed to fix the screaming Kia problem?" "I wish I could make it easier on her." Jakeob whispered. "I’ve just made her closer to...

Interrogation (Part 1)

I stare at the dimly lit interrogation room I've been stuck in. The cold metal around my wrists chains me to the table. I struggle against these bonds. My captor, Luke, walks into the room. His tousled brown hair falls over his purple eyes. I tighten my lips. I’m not giving any information. I have to protect myself. I have to protect Mom and Dad. I have to protect Dangiras, Kaelie and Mackenzie. I have to protect Zachary. I have to protect Ella. "Talk." Luke bangs his fist on the table, making my chains rattle. I turn my head up and away, like a baby refusing food. I slit my eyes. "Jackelle Alexandria Mixel." Luke growls. "Talk." Damn. No one uses my full name anymore. Hell, I don’t think anyone knows my full first name other than my parents! "I’ll talk," I grin. "But you won’t be getting the information you seek. And please," My smile fades. "call me Jackie, like all the other normal people in my life." Luke raise...

The Mental Link - Part 1

"Are you sure this will work?" Jakeob Mixel turned around. "Don't be stupid, Kia, of course, it will!" "Good. I'm hoping it will," Kia Visoun replied with a sigh. Yppah Visoun leaned against the wall of Jakeob's lab. "It better work," he threatened, " because I don't want my uncle following our every move anymore!" Kia glared at him. "Your dad, Ypp- my uncle- follows our every move, and do you see me complaining? No?" Jakeob swivelled around in his chair. "Uh, guys, please don't start arguing-" "Well, I'm not the one with an evil sorcerer as a father!" Yppah yelled, taking a step towards Kia. Jakeob, panicked, started flipping switches on his remote and typing furiously on his laptop. Kia, furious, jumped towards her cousin. Jakeob hit a button, and a glass cylinder surrounded Kia. She proceeded to bang on the glass, which would not break. She charged up a dark chi energy b...
